Hello! My name is Alexis. I am a Licensed Graduate Social Worker (LGSW) in the state of Minnesota, currently working towards independent licensure to become a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW).
Seeking out new and unfamiliar support during challenging times can be difficult. Let me meet you wherever you may be on your journey. Building trust and rapport through authentic and compassionate human connection is of genuine value to me when establishing a therapeutic relationship. I strive to create a space where every individual feels heard, supported, and empowered to intentionally embrace their strengths, vulnerabilities, and resilience.
I am passionate about working through concerns related to grief and loss, neurocognitive changes, terminal illness, trauma, anxiety, and all associated stressors through a trauma-informed, strength-based lens. My goal is to work with you in achieving your goals while enhancing your capacity for introspection, self-reflection, and self-awareness. I have experience working with individuals and couples, age seven to 85+. My current focus is on adolescents and adults.

ART is a technique rooted in existing evidence-based therapies that provides rapid relief from distressful trauma symptoms, anxiety, and other issues. ART is used to treat betrayal trauma, PTSD, and many other forms of trauma. Clients suffering from other mental health challenges can experience remarkable benefits. Some of these challenges include: Addiction, Anxiety, Depression, OCD, Grief & Loss, Family Issues, and Phobias.
ART works by temporarily reactivating the traumatic memory using relaxing eye movements. When the memory is accessed it can be permanently changed using ART's protocols and techniques. While the client knows that the changes are not the actual memory, it provides a new start for the client. The clients Trigger Origin is changed or removed which provides rapid emotional relief. ART's motto is to keep the knowledge and lose the pain. Once the session is complete, you will still have the facts of the memory, but you will lose the painful images, emotions, and sensations that were once a part of the memory.
