Hello! My name is Amy and I am a Marriage and Family Therapist. I believe that finding connection, belonging and intimacy in our closest relationships while continuing to grow as our individual selves is one of the most wonderful and most often challenging pursuits of the human experience. It’s no surprise when we need help along the way! My purpose as a relationship and family therapist is to provide a compassionate space where we can work together to identify patterns and dynamics in your relationships, explore your needs, desires and emotions, and find a new way forward.
I practice an emotionally focused approach through a trauma-informed lens, with consideration for how the greater social & cultural context impacts our intimate interactions and relationship structures. Relationships and families come in many forms, evolving over time and varying across cultures and situations, and they bring a multitude of strengths, struggles, pains and possibilities to each person’s life. Whatever you are navigating with your family, chosen family, or romantic partner(s), I would be honored to spend time alongside you.

I utilize a client-centered, insight-oriented and strengths-based approach incorporating family systems theory and techniques from Internal Family Systems therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Narrative therapy, and Emotionally Focused Therapy. When it’s a good fit, I like to incorporate art, writing and mindfulness exercises into the session.
