Due to many factors, we can lose track of our best selves. Trauma, stress, oppression, abuse, life transitions, lack of healthy modeling, and much more can make someone feel disconnected, overwhelmed, helpless. Therapy is a powerful tool to help objectively understand how we have come to a specific place in our lives, and allow us to look at where we want to go and who we want to become moving forward. As a therapist it is my goal to guide the process to increase your awareness and insight, work through problems, and understand your own patterns. I recognize the strength in vulnerability, healthy connections and creating liberating experiences that foster safety and self-empowerment. I work with teens and adults struggling with a variety of symptoms and barriers, tailoring my therapeutic processes based on your individual and unique needs.

ART is a psychotherapy technique rooted in existing evidence-based therapies that provides rapid relief from distressful trauma symptoms, anxiety, and other issues. ART is used to treat betrayal trauma, PTSD, and other forms of trauma. Clients suffering from other mental health challenges can experience remarkable benefits. Some of these challenges include: Addiction, Anxiety, Depression, OCD, Grief & Loss, Family Issues, and Phobias.
ART works by temporarily reactivating the traumatic memory using relaxing eye movements. When the memory is accessed it can be permanently changed using ART's protocols and techniques. While the client knows that the changes are not the actual memory, it provides a new start for the client. The clients Trigger Origin is changed or removed which provides rapid emotional relief. ART's motto is to keep the knowledge and lose the pain. Once the session is complete, you will still have the facts of the memory, but you will lose the painful images, emotions, and sensations that were once a part of the memory.
I am trained in Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy, Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), Trauma-Focused/ Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), with a foundational lens of inclusivity, attachment theory, somatic literacy, and mindfulness.
