Welcome. If you are seeking or considering therapy, congratulations on an important step in your journey. My name is Luke, and I am a mental health professional and a masters of social work student at the College of St. Scholastica. Since 2021 I have been honored to support children, teens and adults during some of the most challenging times in their lives. In session, I create and maintain an environment of safety, focus on your strengths, and celebrate all the things that make you, you.
I work with clients of all life stages, backgrounds, and therapeutic needs and goals. I have a particular passion for relationship therapy and supporting people in building, repairing, and maintaining healthy relationships of all types, shapes and sizes. To this end, I am currently training in both Emotionally Focused Therapy for Couples and the Gottman Method, two of the strongest current evidence-based therapeutic models to support relational health.
My goal is to work alongside you to help you live the life you want as your most authentic self. Whatever your goals and current challenges, I would be honored to join you on your journey.
ART is a technique rooted in existing evidence-based therapies that provides rapid relief from distressful trauma symptoms, anxiety, and other issues. ART is used to treat betrayal trauma, PTSD, and many other forms of trauma. Clients suffering from other mental health challenges can experience remarkable benefits. Some of these challenges include: Addiction, Anxiety, Depression, OCD, Grief & Loss, Family Issues, and Phobias.
ART works by temporarily reactivating the traumatic memory using relaxing eye movements. When the memory is accessed it can be permanently changed using ART's protocols and techniques. While the client knows that the changes are not the actual memory, it provides a new start for the client. The clients Trigger Origin is changed or removed which provides rapid emotional relief. ART's motto is to keep the knowledge and lose the pain. Once the session is complete, you will still have the facts of the memory, but you will lose the painful images, emotions, and sensations that were once a part of the memory.
My approach in therapy is informed by attachment-based approaches including emotionally focused, person-centered, and relational cultural therapy, as well as the science of interpersonal neurobiology. I also use tools from cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, internal family systems, somatic experiencing, Gottman Method couples therapy, and mindfulness practice.
