Now Accepting New Clients - Call 218-606-1100

Hi there! I’m Kara, a clinical trainee in a Master of Social Work program here in Duluth. I approach therapy as a collaborative journey rooted in connection, curiosity, and compassion. I believe everyone deserves a supportive space to explore their story. I strive to create an environment where clients feel seen, understood, and empowered while also ensuring a welcoming and judgment-free space.
I work with individuals navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, identity exploration, women’s issues, expectant / new parents, and life transitions. My therapeutic style blends relational and attachment approaches with mindfulness, reflection, and other holistic practices that support clients in reconnecting with themselves.
Outside of my professional work, I enjoy spending time with my family, exploring the outdoors, and creating art in many different ways.

Hi there! I'm Sophie, a practicum and internship student working on my Clinical Mental Health Counseling Masters at Marquette University. My therapy approach is rooted in the importance of collaboration, the rejection of one-size-fits-all treatment, and the simple truth that no one knows you better than you do! I strive to put the client in the driver's seat, as my job is not to lead, but to help you navigate life with strength and confidence.
My therapeutic values pull from all kinds of approaches but always come back to the two main points of client-centered and trauma-informed care. I enjoy working with individuals of any background, but focus on LGBTQIA+, anxiety, depression, identity exploration, life transitions, and women's issues. I hope to always provide a comfortable, judgement free environment in which you are able to share and reflect on what makes you, you.
Outside of the therapy space I can be found volunteering for local causes, reading, playing board games, spending time with my partner and our cats, and enjoying a hockey game (Go Dogs!).
