It is difficult to battle these feelings on top of the daily stressors that occur. You might utilize your own personal coping skills to lighten these thoughts, yet sometimes this negativity continues to stick with you. If this sounds familiar, you are not alone and you are in the right space.
Hi there, my name is Rosie Botka and I am a Master’s Clinical Intern from the University of Wisconsin-Superior. I decided to pursue this path because I firmly believe that through connection and conversations, people can heal parts of themselves that are causing them pain. As a counselor, I want to acknowledge you are the expert on your life and also push you to view circumstances in a variety of lenses with an array of opportunities.
I utilize a person-centered, cognitive behavioral, and relational therapy informed practice. This means I will take the time to learn about you and your identified goals while also acknowledging how relationships and your mind influence your view of the world and of yourself. Together we will work at identifying negative mind cycles and focus on achievable goals and skills that can regulate your system.
Outside of the counseling office, I enjoy running, getting competitive with board games, trying all the local food spots, and jumping into Lake Superior during every season. I am looking forward to connecting with you!
